Starting at noon ET on Jan. 20, Joe Biden will be sworn in as the official 46th President of the United States. Despite the unrest at the U.S. Capitol following last week’s riots, the inauguration is still going ahead as planned. As it turns out, both Biden and Kamala Harris are going to be joined by plenty of familiar faces to celebrate the historic event.
This week, it was confirmed that Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato, Jon Bon Jovi and Ant Clemons are the artists performing for the inauguration special.
On Wednesday, Justin Timberlake revealed that he and Ant Clemons are debuting the new song “Better Days” during Celebrating America. The duo wrote the song during coronavirus lockdown and Timberlake recorded his vocals on election night back in November.

“A few months ago, during lockdown, @antclemons and I wrote a song together called BETTER DAYS. (I actually recorded my final vocals for this song on election night…) ⠀
This past year brought a lot of frustration, grief, anger — and there were times when it was easy to feel powerless. This song was our way of doing what little we could to encourage everyone to stay hopeful… and keep working towards a better, more equal future. ⠀
I’m very honored to announce we will be performing this song on January 20th for the Presidential Inauguration. We have a long way to go to fix, undo, and rebuild this country… but I hope now, despite the past four years, we are on our way. #Inauguration2021”

Tune in with various tv networks & live streaming services 🇺🇸 @bideninaugural #Inauguration2021″

Rock icon Jon Bon Jovi is also set to perform during the 90-minute special. Celebrating America, which will be hosted by Tom Hanks, starts at 8:30 P.M. ET on multiple platforms including ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and MSNBC.
For those of you that don’t have cable, you’re in luck. The entire special will be streamed on the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC)’s social media channels. Additionally, it will also be available on Amazon Prime Video, Microsoft Bing, NewsNOW from Fox and AT&T DirecTV and U-verse.
During the special, both Biden and Harris will give their own remarks and pay tribute to the COVID-19 first responders.
“This inauguration presents a unique opportunity to spotlight the resilience and spirit of an America united,” PIC CEO Tony Allen said in a statement. “We have witnessed countless heroes this past year step up to the frontlines and serve their fellow Americans, so we are telling their stories, spreading their collective light and celebrating the best of our country and its people with this prime-time program.”
